OUR APPROACH TO ESTATE PLANNING
From the first communication through the execution of the documents, our clients have direct contact with our estate planning attorneys.
Once the client contacts the firm, a meeting will be scheduled at the client’s convenience. The purpose of this meeting is to gather the facts necessary to draft documents that are specific to the client’s situation.
Once the engagement letter is signed and the first half of the fee is paid, the attorney will begin drafting the documents. Depending on the complexity of the issue, this can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Once the documents are drafted, they are sent to the client for review.

At this meeting, an estate planning attorney will guide the clients through the different estate planning tools, and use the facts gathered to determine the best strategy for the client. The clients will then sign an engagement letter, which sets out the terms of the agreement with the firm as well as the fee structure.
A follow up meeting or phone call will be set to discuss any questions regarding the documents, and a meeting will be scheduled to execute the documents. Execution of the documents will occur in front of a Notary Public and two disinterested witnesses. After execution of the documents, we will provide copies of the originals as well as the bound original.

* Estate planning matters are charged as a flat fee, with half of the fee due up front, and the remaining half due upon execution of the documents.
